Hutchings, 32, found the cat while going about his daily routine. According to reports, he has no idea how the cat got caught on the taxi grille. However, he believes the cat traveled at least 800 kilometers while stuck inside the vehicle.

Reports state that the cat, named Gizmo, was visibly distressed when rescued, even scratching Hutchings during the process. Fortunately, after the rescue, Gizmo happily climbed onto his shoulders, forming an immediate bond with his rescuer, according to Hutchings.

Later, it was discovered that Gizmo was the pet cat of a household in Miskin, located about 16 kilometers from Tonyrefail. Hutchings also mentioned that he hadn’t been to Miskin in weeks, assuming that the cat must have gotten onto his car from elsewhere.

Eventually, Gizmo was reunited with his family. To the Wales Online website, Sue Barcello, the cat’s owner, stated that the pet belongs to her stepson Harrison, 15, who has autism and ADHD, and that the kitten went missing in early August.
